This article critiques the paradigm of simplification that has long shaped classical scientific thought, emphasizing its limits in reducing reality and overlooking complexity, especially the role of the knowing subject and interactive relations. It advances Edgar Morin’s project of complex knowledge, which transcends reductionism through integration, interconnection, and recognition of multiplicity and uncertainty. The study also examines knowledge as an anthropological process shaped by the interaction of individual, culture, and society, highlighting language as a system that generates meaning and organizes thought. It concludes that adopting complex thinking requires reconstructing education to develop critical and integrative thinking and to help learners understand the conditions and limits of knowledge
