The fast growth of creative artificial intelligence (AI) has completely changed the information environment, especially the way news is made and shared. There are new possibilities for journalism with creative AI technologies, but they also make news less reliable by making fake news, automatic false information, and "deepfakes." This research looks into how generative AI affects the reliability of news and how to make sure that information in digital settings is accurate. The piece uses a qualitative literature review and conceptual analysis to look at new research on generative AI, false information, and how people check facts. The results show that creative AI both hurts and helps methods for checking the news. On the one hand, content made by AI can spread false information and make people less trusting of journalism. On the other hand, proof tools driven by AI, digital identity technologies, and programs that teach people more about media can make news more reliable. As we move into the age of creative AI, this piece suggests a multiple framework for checking the truth of news stories that includes technology solutions, journalism ethics, and public engagement. The study comes to the conclusion that to protect the purity of the global information environment, journalists, technology developers, lawmakers, and the public must work together to keep the news credible in the age of generative AI.
