This study aims to examine the contribution of the official Facebook page of the Algerian Organization for Consumer Protection in informing and educating consumers about the health risks associated with alternative medicine, particularly its potential adverse effects on individuals with chronic illnesses. Adopting an exploratory approach, the research is based on a sample of Facebook users who follow the organization’s page. The study also explores the organization’s role in enhancing public awareness regarding the safe use of herbal remedies and dietary supplements, guiding consumers toward rational consumption practices, and fostering a culture of preventive health care. It also investigates how the organization's social media presence contributes to public discourse on food and medical safety, and how it aligns with the broader objective of ensuring consumer protection in the digital era.
