Remediating Primary Education Through Gamification: Using Game-based Techniques To Enhance Learning In Primary Schools

Abstract

This paper examines the potential of gamification to remediate to remediate primary education. The use of game-like elements and mechanics in non-game contexts is proposed here as a solution to students’ disengagement and lack of motivation. This study delivers a theoretical background on the game-based approach to education and explores the challenges and potential solutions facing its implementation in primary education. The analysis is concluded with recommendations for policy and practice as well as future research trajectories.
