This study investigates the transformative role of Moodle in Algerian universities’ digitalization. The analysis highlights Moodle’s capacity to enhance educational accessibility, foster student engagement, and support innovative pedagogy, particularly evident in its effective use during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, challenges such as inadequate technological infrastructure, limited digital literacy among faculty and students, and resistance to cultural shifts toward digital learning hinder seamless implementation. Through a literature review of recent studies, this research highlights the strategic measures, including faculty training programs and infrastructure upgrades, as critical to addressing these barriers. Findings underscore Moodle’s potential to create a more equitable and adaptable higher education landscape in Algeria, aligning with global trends in e-learning. The study concludes that sustained investment in digital resources and pedagogical adaptation is essential for maximizing Moodle’s impact on Algeria’s educational future
