Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to study the higher education system in the State of California, which is considered one of the most successful academic models worldwide, and to highlight its importance in strengthening the knowledge-based economy through the analysis of statistics of the most important indicators of the knowledge economy and research universities in California for the period (2011–2020). Among the findings of the research is that the higher education system in California contributes effectively to driving the wheel of the knowledge-based economy, not only within the state but also at the national level. Furthermore, thanks to the efforts of research universities in California, scientific discoveries have been transformed into goods and services marketable in the marketplace through the development of products and manufacturing processes, in addition to significantly increasing production efficiency. المستخلص يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة نظام التعليم العالي في ولاية كاليفورنيا الذي يُعد من أبرز النماذج الأكاديمية الناجحة على مستوى العالم، وإبراز أهميتها في تعزيز الاقتصاد المبني على المعرفة من خلال تحليل إحصائيات لأهم مؤشرات اقتصاد المعرفة والجامعات البحثية في ولاية كاليفورنيا للفترة (2011-2020). ومن ضمن ما توصل إليه البحث، أن نظام التعليم العالي في ولاية كاليفورنيا يساهم بشكل فعال في دفع عجلة الاقتصاد القائم على المعرفة، ليس في الولاية فحسب، بل وأيضًا على المستوى الوطني، كما أنه وبفضل جهود الجامعات البحثية في ولاية كاليفورنيا، تحولت الاكتشافات العلمية إلى سلع وخدمات قابلة للعرض في الأسواق من خلال تطوير المنتجات والعمليات التصنيعية، بالإضافة إلى رفع كفاءة الإنتاج بشكل ملحوظ.
