This study aims to explore the psychological impact of screen addiction, particularly among children of both genders, and its consequences on family mental health. The study focuses on children within a close age range. To achieve this, we applied an observational network designed by the researchers to a group of three children over the course of one year, along with clinical interviews conducted with the parents of these children. All three children belong to the same family. The study yielded the following findings: 1/Addiction to smart screens, particularly competitive gaming, disrupts family dynamics, especially if the addict is male.2/Inputs resulting from electronic addiction are illusory and cannot be discussed or controlled, making them more impactful on family mental health. 3/ Addiction to smart screens, particularly competitive games, makes boys more aggressive than girls.
