The article emphasizes the need for ongoing research into the implications of Russian influence on governance and development in Africa amidst evolving international relations. This article employs case studies and expert analyses from scholars to assess the military, economic, and diplomatic aspects of Russian influence. It identifies three main foundations of this influence: military cooperation, economic interests in natural resources, and historical ties from the Soviet era that supported anti-colonial efforts. The article outlines several research findings. The primary research finding highlights the complex interplay between Russia's growing influence in Africa and the implications for local governance, economic development, and geopolitical dynamics.
