The mid- 2000s have witnessed an increasing interest in Turkish series among Algerian teenagers. This paper attempts to analyse the impact of Turkish drama on the formation of teen culture and identity. The paper uses an anthropological lens to evaluate the different ways screens shape self-perception and identity construction. For this end, this qualitative study combines a digital ethnographic approach and media analysis to crosscheck the findings. Through digital ethnographic analysis, the paper assesses how teens engage with Turkish series online (Instagram pages, memes, and Tiktok edits) and captures everyday practices, meanings, and interpretations of Turkish drama consumption among Algerian teens. Then, media analysis explores the consequences of this media exposure on their perceptions of life, love, gender roles, religion, family, fashion and nationhood. The findings revealed that Algerian teens adopted Turkish lifestyes and cultural values while adapting them locally.
