Arab anglophones’ diasporic literature depicts stories and tales of reminiscence, seclusion and melancholy in alien lands. They portray their journey from the familiar culture and costume to the foreign tradition and ideology. This kind of literature challenges dominating ideologies, marginalization and negotiation of identities and demand critical thinking skills. For that, the present research aims to incorporate critical discourse analysis (CDA) course in the teaching of Arab Anglophone Literature in the diaspora for literature students. CDA is a method of studying how social power or government entities abuse their positions and spread discrimination. By analyzing power relations, discursive strategies, and subversive discourses, literature students can gain a deeper understanding of the complexities of diasporic experiences and the negotiation of identities.
