Algeria's startup ecosystem is undergoing a transformative period, marked by a strong governmental commitment to economic diversification beyond its traditional dependence on hydrocarbons. This study aims to explore the current startup landscape in Algeria, its growth opportunities, and the key challenges they must overcome to achieve success. Accordingly, a dual research approach was adopted, relying on a descriptive and analytical methodology to comprehensively explore the topic. The study concluded that Algeria is experiencing an evolving ecosystem due to the establishment of a supportive legal framework for startups. Enhanced by the governmental funding and support despite the untapped market potential. However, many challenges hinder the growth of Algerian startups, such as bureaucracy, access to finance, the talent gap, and infrastructure limitations.
