This study aims to analyze global research trends on digital transformation in tourism by reviewing 510 publications (2017–2024) from the Scopus database, using the bibliometric analysis software VOSviewer 1.6.20. The results revealed a significant increase in research on digital transformation in tourism during the study period, with artificial intelligence and sustainability emerging as key themes. The findings also showed the dominance of Asian and European countries in this field, contrasted with the limited contributions of developing countries in terms of publications, institutional funding, and research collaboration. The significance of this study lies in providing a systematic mapping that guides future research academically, while economically highlighting the role of digital transformation in enhancing competitiveness and sustainability in the tourism sector, particularly in developing economies.
