Artificial Intelligence Challenges In The Transport Sector

Abstract
This study aims to explore the main challenges facing the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in the transport sector and analyze their impact on efficiency and safety. It also focuses on potential tools and mechanisms to mitigate these challenges and leverage the opportunities offered by this technology. The study is based on a systematic review of recent literature on AI and transport. The findings indicate that AI applications have brought a qualitative transformation to the transport sector, contributing to improved services and enhanced safety; However, these applications are accompanied by complex challenges, mainly ethical and technical issues such as algorithmic bias and privacy violations. To balance the benefits of AI with the mitigation of risks, the study recommends the establishment of clear legal, regulatory, and ethical frameworks, as well as strengthened collaboration between governments and the private sector to ensure responsible, sustainable AI use in transport.
