The Contributions Of Writing Workshops As A Didactic Device In The Development Of Writing Skills Among French As A Foreign Language (fle) Students.

Abstract

This research explores an innovative didactic approach to teaching and learning writing at the university level, with a particular focus on second-year undergraduate students in French at the University of Tiaret. The study examines the use of writing workshops as a pedagogical tool and their impact on students' writing proficiency. A qualitative approach was employed to assess the effects of these workshops, emphasizing their benefits and influence on the overall quality of students' written productions. Statistical analyses demonstrated a significant improvement in various aspects, including text quality, syntactic complexity, and textual coherence. The primary objective of this study is to determine to what extent integrating writing workshops in French as a Foreign Language (FFL) can enhance learners’ writing skills, ultimately easing their transition towards mastering written communication in French.
