Abstract

As the 4 Cs framework is no longer comprehensive to address the demands of the digital age, Trilling and Fadel extended it into the 7 Cs framework.The aim behind this research is to assess learners’ 21st century skills and evaluate the comprehensivenss of the 7 Cs framework. Within this scope, the descriptive method was adopted by administering a structured questionnaire to 40 first-year students of English at the University of Guelma. 92.5% of the participants asserted that the most significant factor that can promote digital skills is creating a learning environment that supports the 7 Cs framework.
