Digital learning platforms are increasingly recognised as transformative tools in corporate training, offering adaptable, modular, and personalised learning experiences aligned with contemporary professional demands. This netnographic study, grounded in the analysis of user-generated content on the edX platform and processed through NVivo, seeks to identify the principal determinants influencing employees’ engagement with such platforms. Findings reveal that flexibility and accessibility constitute critical factors, enabling learners to integrate training into time-constrained professional environments. Furthermore, the availability of personalised learning trajectories enhances user autonomy and fosters greater engagement, thereby promoting deeper cognitive investment. The opportunity to acquire and immediately apply relevant skills in the workplace reinforces the perceived utility of the learning experience. Additionally, the social dimension manifested through discussion forums and peer interaction contributes to a sense of belonging and collaborative learning. Finally, the academic rigour, quality of instructional materials, and reputation of instructors collectively enhance the platform's credibility as a vehicle for sustained professional development.
