Abstract: The objective of this study is to illuminate the role of digital public services provided through the Algerian governmental portal for public services, "Bawabatic", in enhancing the e-Government Development Index (EDGI). A descriptive and analytical approach was employed to examine the key stages of digital government and the factors contributing to its success, as well as the digital and legislative infrastructure in Algeria that underpins the digital government. The study revealed that the governmental portal for public services serves as a model for inter-sectoral connectivity in Algeria. The platform is characterised by its openness, which facilitates interaction between stakeholders and diverse public administrations. It also provides services based on specific data for each entity, whether natural or legal
