Abstract
Abstract: The article investigates the development of vocational guidance practices and the extent to which they respond to the needs of Algerian society based on the determinants formulated by the official discourse of the role of the vocational guidance, evaluation and integration counsellor based on his representations of this role, all these perceptions were projected on a sample of 55 guidance, evaluation and integration counsellors distributed in vocational training institutions from centres and institutes in the states of Annaba, Taref, Guelma, Souk-Ahras and the results were: Field practice of the role of the guidance counsellor at the stages of information, selection and guidance, but it remains insufficient due to the difficulties he faces at the level of the training institution and outside it, to reduce his role at the stage of following up young trainees during the course of their professional development due to the absence of psych-pedagogical practice, which prevents the proper selection of professions and building professional projects that facilitate integration into the labour market.
