الملخص
يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة الفضاء القروي في رواية "الأفيون والعصا" لمولود معمري، وتحليل كيفية تمثيله بين الواقع وتداعي الذاكر، يتناول البحث مشكلة التجاذب بين الحياة اليومية للمجتمع الريفي الجزائري خلال فترة الاستعمار الفرنسي وتأثير الصراع الثوري على هذا الفضاء، وكيفية انعكاس ذلك في الذاكرة الفردية والجماعية للشخصيات. يتوصل البحث إلى أن الرواية تجسد تداخلًا بين الواقع القروي الملموس والذكريات المشوشة التي تشكل وعي الشخصيات وأفعالها، مما يعزز الرؤية الأسطورية للنضال ضد الاحتلال، فالفضاء القروي يصبح بذلك رمزًا للمقاومة والتحول الثوري، متجاوزًا دوره كمجرد خلفية للأحداث. This research aims to explore the representation of the rural space in the novel The Opium and the Stick by Mouloud Mammeri, focusing on how it oscillates between reality and the fragmentation of memory. The study addresses the issue of how the Algerian rural community is portrayed during the French colonial period and how the revolutionary struggle reshapes this space. Using a textual analysis methodology, the research investigates the impact of memory on the characters' perception of their environment. The main findings highlight that the rural space serves as a symbolic ground for resistance and transformation, reflecting both the harsh realities of colonial oppression and the collective memory of the fight for freedom. This duality gives the rural setting a deeper, more metaphorical meaning within the novel's broader narrative framework.
