The Role Of Financial Technology And Artificial Intelligence In Improving Banking Sector Performance - Bahrain Fintech Bay Experience

Abstract

The study aimed to highlight the importance of financial technology and artificial intelligence in enhancing the performance of the banking sector, with a focus on the impact of digital currencies, particularly Bitcoin, which has brought about a significant transformation in the financial world through its encryption-based system. The study revealed that digital currencies have accelerated financial transactions and reduced intermediary costs, but also highlighted the absence of a guarantor to protect the rights of the parties involved. Therefore, the study recommended the development of mechanisms to safeguard the rights of all parties and combat illegal uses
