الملخص
The diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a significant challenge for specialists working in this field. This is due to the unique nature of the disorder on one hand and the lack of sufficient assessment tools on the other, despite recent advancements in understanding this condition. This research paper aims to shed light on the diagnostic process, given its crucial importance in formulating and ensuring the success of therapeutic plans. It does so by highlighting the changes in diagnostic criteria, presenting the key steps involved in diagnosis, and reviewing various assessment tools. additionally, it addresses the major challenges faced in light of criticisms directed at existing tests and scales. The paper concludes with general recommendations يعتبر تشخيص اضطراب طيف التوحد مشكلة حقيقية تواجه المختصين العاملين في هذا المجال، وذلك لخصوصية الاضطراب من جهة، ونقص أدوات التقييم من جهة أخرى، على الرغم من التطور الحاصل في السنوات الأخيرة في فهم هذا الاضطراب. تسعى هذه الورقة البحثية إلى تسليط الضوء على عملية التشخيص لما لها من أهمية بالغة في وضع الخطة العلاجية ونجاحها وذلك من خلال ابراز التغيرات الحاصلة في معايير التشخيص، عرض لأهم خطوات التشخيص ومختلف أدوات التقييم، وكذلك أهم التحديات التي تواجهه في ضل الانتقادات الموجهة للاختبارات والمقاييس الموجودة لتختتم الورقة البحثية بتوصيات عامة. الكلمات المفتاحية : اضطراب طيف التوحد، أدوات التقييم، خطوات التشخيص.
