This study aims to assess the implementation of Algeria’s digital transformation strategy during the period 2020–2024 by analyzing key achievements and identifying challenges hindering the realization of national digital goals. The study adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology, relying on national and international reports, recent digital indicators, and an in-depth examination of digitalization policies in public sectors. The findings reveal that Algeria has made notable progress in digitizing public services by launching over 500 digital projects and expanding internet penetration to over 70% of the population. However, the strategy’s implementation continues to face challenges related to infrastructure readiness, weak institutional coordination, and a shortage of digital competencies. The study recommends accelerating the implementation of the national digital identity, unifying digital platforms, and strengthening digital governance at both local and national levels.
