This study aims to identify the phenomenon of binary oppositions among Algerian poets in the context of poetic modernity, which has become a predominant feature of contemporary Algerian poetry. Furthermore, it adds aesthetic value to the literary text and linguistic formation at the rhetorical level. The study delves into the concept of binary oppositions, elucidating their manifestations through single and compound verbal binary (dichotomy), as well as non-verbal binary such as life and death, spirit and body, reality and dream, optimism and pessimism, among others, employing contemporary Algerian examples.
