الملخص
كبر السن ليست حالة مرضية وإنّما مرحلة نمو تتميز بمجموعة من الخصائص النفسية والانفعالية، الاجتماعية والبيولوجية تحتاج إلى نوع من الرعاية الخاصة حتى تشبع احتياجاتها المختلفة تفاديا للتعرض للمشكلات المختلفة التي تصاحب هذه المرحلة، والتي يمكن أن تتعقد في حالة ما إذا لم تشبع ولم تقابل بالاهتمام اللازم، فقلة الوعي بأهمية هذه المرحلة العمرية وبمختلف الخصائص التي تمزيها وبالاحتياجات التي يتطلب تحقيقها يجعل هذه الفئة من المجتمع تتعرض لمضاعفات ومخاطر نفسية واقتصادية وعقلية تأثر بدورها على استقرار المجتمع الذي من المفروض أن يحتويه، وعليه نحاول من خلال هذه الورقة البحثية الإجابة على التساؤلات التالية: ما هي خصائص المسنين؟ وما هي احتياجاتهم؟ وما طبيعة المشكلات التي تترب على عدم اشباع هذه الحاجات؟ Old age is not a disease, but rather a stage of growth characterized by a set of psychological, emotional, social and biological characteristics, You need some special care, Which can become complicated if it is not satisfied and not met with the necessary attention.
