This study explores the phenomenon of digital cheating in universities and its sociological dimensions in light of current technological transformations. Based on interviews with students and teachers from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Oran 2, it reveals that cheating, once a condemned individual act, has become an accepted collective practice, reflecting the erosion of traditional values of effort and rigor. This change negatively impacts the quality of education, posing a major challenge to universities: to perpetuate this trend or to rebuild strong academic values to preserve their societal role.
