The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the education system worldwide, including Algerian universities. In Algeria, this shift has led to a profound paradigm shift in the education system, with online learning proving to be a central component. This article, through interviews with DaF experts from Oran 2 University and Algiers 2 University, clearly demonstrates how the online teaching model has evolved during the pandemic at Algerian universities and the influence it has had on education and students. It also provides an outlook on the future of online education in Algerian universities, discussing potential developments and adjustments related to hybrid teaching methods, the development of digital skills, and the establishment of quality standards for digital education. This contributes to defining and further developing the importance of online education as a crucial part of the education system in Algeria.
