This study examines the media coverage of former U.S. President Donald Trump, focusing on the spread and impact of fake news both locally and globally. Trump's frequent use of the term "fake news" to discredit unfavorable media reports has contributed to a shifting media landscape, influencing public trust in journalism. The paper explores how social media platforms have amplified misinformation and how mainstream media outlets have responded to these challenges. Using a content analysis approach, this study assesses the consequences of fake news on public perception, democratic processes, and international relations. The findings highlight the growing need for media literacy, fact-checking mechanisms, & regulatory measures to counter misinformation.
