ملخص: إن كل المستجدات والمتغيرات باتت تفرض علينا ضرورة مسايرة التطورات الراهنة والتي شملت شتى المجالات وهنا طرحت مسالة المثقف ودوره في بيئته ومجتمعه، وباعتبارنا جزءا من هذا المحيط العام الذي نتواجد فيه نطرح الكثير من الإشكاليات حول دور النخبة العربية وما مدى مساهمتها وقدرتها في بناء صرح مجتمعاتها وتأسيسها لقيم قد تتزامن ومشاريع الحداثة الغربية وكذا مشاريع ما بعد الحداثة، فما معنى المثقف وأي دور يمكن يلعبه هذا المثقف وهنا نحن نتحدث عن المثقف العربي تحديدا؟ وكيف سيقوم بفهم ما يحدث في مجتمعه من تغيرات ؟ ،فالأولوية التي تقع على عاتق المثقف هي تغيير الواقع فهل نجح في تحقيق هذه الغاية؟ وما موقع مثقفينا من ذلك ؟ الكلمات المفتاحية: المثقف؛ النهاية؛ التناهي؛ الواقع؛ المثقف والراهن. Abstract: As part of this general environment in which we exist, we raise many questions about the role of the Arab elite and the extent of their contribution and ability to build the edifice of their societies and establish values that may coincide with the projects of Western modernity and postmodernity. What is the meaning of the intellectual and what role can this intellectual play? What is the meaning of the intellectual and what role can be played by this intellectual and here we are talking about the Arab intellectual in particular? How will the latter understand the various social, political, economic, religious and ideological changes that are taking place in his society, as the priority of the intellectual is to change reality, so to what extent has the Arab intellectual succeeded in achieving this goal?
