Artificial Intelligence And Political Science: A New Research Agenda

In light of the profound technological transformation brought about by the qualitative leap in artificial intelligence, political science today lacks new conceptual tools to propose alternative theoretical approaches for interpreting and understanding the future of political phenomena. Despite the rapid advancement of the field of artificial intelligence—whether in terms of its anticipated promises or potential risks—many pressing issues directly impact the algorithmic modeling of democracy, electoral behavior, governance, the role of the state, international politics, Human security, and decision-making in public policy. For political science and its theorists, artificial intelligence represents one of the most urgent agendas in political research, especially as experts in AI from various global universities increasingly emphasize the necessity of integrating this field into political life.
