Analysis Of The Determinants Of Labor Market Integration In Algeria: Gender Approach

Abstract
The objective of this study is to examine the disparities in employment participation by gender in Algeria. Our work contributes to the integration of the gender approach in the labor market. We opted for a multinomial logistic estimation, in order to determine the main factors in the integration of men and women into employment, based on household survey data carried out in 2021. The results of our research indicate that the possibility of having a job as an employee or self-employed, relative to the unemployed modality is determined by socioeconomic variables, the place of residence and human capital. These results imply the need to carry out gender equality policies in terms of access to employment in Algeria.
