Fostering Autonomy In Language Learning Through Artificial Intelligence

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has become an essential tool in reshaping the educational landscape, particularly in language learning. The growing evolution of artificial intelligence powered tools has affected traditional teaching methods, and transformed how language learning is approached in the digital age. This study explores how Artificial intelligence tools have created new opportunities to foster autonomy in language learning. In the contemporary context of higher education, the growing demand for English language proficiency emphasizes the significance of AI in supporting independent learning. The effective application of AI technology beyond the classroom has the potential to create potential to create dynamic learning environment and ease the learning process. This paper examines the various services of AI in language learning and unveil the opportunities and challenges associated with promoting language learning autonomy. Through a review of previous research and existing literature, the findings underscore the flexibility of AI-powered tools in creating personalized learning environment that addresses learners’ needs, preferences, and pace.
