In the field of media broadcasting, using Modern Standard Arabic language in verbal communication plays a crucial role in promoting a sense of belonging, shared identity and engagement. This evolving landscape of broadcasting discourse usually implies a particular discourse and communication strategies connected with audience expectations within a specific speech community. Accordingly, this study critically examines the use of MSA in the spoken discourse within Tiaretian radio broadcasts and highlights its influence on the future trajectory of MSA. The investigation uses Fairclough's approach to critical discourse analysis, which is composed of three analytical axes: textual content, discursive practices, and societal patterns. The findings of this study reveal that radio broadcasters employ three distinct linguistic choices: modern standard Arabic, French language, and Algerian dialectal Arabic. This study provides considerable insight into the dynamics of language mixing, the challenges of maintaining linguistic balance with audience expectations.
