Abstract

This research paper examines the role of decentralized cooperation between local groups in promoting development in Algeria. It highlights the significance of local entities, such as municipalities, in achieving sustainable development and the contributions of international decentralized cooperation to this goal. The study aims at exploring how decentralized cooperation among autonomous groups fosters development. Using a deductive approach, supported by descriptive and analytical tools, the research finds that while decentralized cooperation plays a critical role in economic, political, and social progress, enhancing local economies and strengthening the capabilities of local groups, its impact in Algeria remains limited. The study concludes that a comprehensive review is needed to improve its effectiveness.
