الملخص
ملخص: تعتبر وفيات الامومة من اهم المؤشرات التي تسعى الدول الى خفضها لتحقيق اهداف التنمية المستدامة من جهة وتحسين صحة الام والطفل من جهة اخرى، فهي تعبر عن مستوى الصحة لأي دولة. تأتي هذه الورقة البحثية لتقديم صورة عن وفيات الأمهات في الدول العربية، اسبابها ومستوياتها، بالاعتماد على معطيات المنظمة العالمية للصحة والبنك الدولي. بينت نتائج الدراسة ان وفيات الامومة لازالت مرتفعة رغم التحسن الصحي وبالتالي لم تحقق بعد الدول العربية الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية والتي تهدف الى خفض وفيات الامومة الى النصف Abstract : Maternal mortality is one of the most important indicators that countries seek to reduce to achieve the goals of sustainable development on the one hand and improve the health of mothers and children on the other, as it reflects the level of health of any country. This research paper comes to provide a picture of maternal mortality in Arab countries, its causes and levels, based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Bank. The results of the study showed that maternal mortality is still high despite health improvements, and therefore Arab countries have not yet achieved the Millennium Development Goals, which aim to reduce maternal mortality by half.
