Abstract
Abstract: This research paper sheds light on the topic of neighborhood gangs in Algeria, a dangerous and complex criminal phenomenon that has recently emerged with significant prominence. It has rapidly spread within residential areas, instilling fear, anxiety, and a lack of security among citizens, while creating instability through crimes committed by these gangs. The importance of this study lies in clarifying the legislative preventive and deterrent approach to this phenomenon by establishing mechanisms under Presidential Order No. 20/03, which pertains to the prevention of neighborhood gangs.
