The Power Of The French Judge To Annul A Marriage Concluded In Algeria-سلطة القاضي الفرنسي في الغاء الزواج المنعقد في الجزائر

Authors : Debba Nacer .

Abstract

This study investigates the power of French judges in annulling marriages formed in Algeria, emphasizing the disparities between the French and Algerian legal frameworks. It addresses the complexities that arise when applying French law to Algerian marriage contracts, particularly concerning matters of inheritance and remarriage. A key issue is the recognition by French courts of marriages entered into in Algeria, in light of the significant differences between the two legal systems. The analysis delves into the practical ramifications and cross-border legal challenges, examining pertinent judicial rulings and their implications within the scope of private international law.
