Abstract

This study aimed to find out the effect of a training program proposed by the method of intermittent training on the characteristics of maximum aerobic speed and strength characteristic of speed for senior football players. The research sample consisted of 24 players from the Najm Birgbalo team, active in the first regional of the Algerian Regional League, and the members of the research sample were divided into Two samples, experimental and control, where each sample contained 12 players. Physical tests (Navat and Sargent's vertical jump test) were relied upon as tools for the study. The experimental approach was adopted with the analysis of the data collected using statistical methods, including the Student test, the arithmetic mean, and Pearson. The results concluded that training Intermittent exercise affected the development of strength characterized by speed and maximum aerobic speed for the experimental group in better proportions than the control group.
