Digital education presents immense opportunities to open up the horizons of knowledge to everyone, but it also faces ethical challenges that require collective effort. The most prominent of these challenges are the digital divide, which deprives some students of equal opportunities, algorithmic bias, which hinders the access of some, especially those with special needs, to educational content, and data collection risks that threaten the privacy of students and the security of educational institutions. This study proposes solutions that include programs to provide technology for everyone, develop ICT skills, raise awareness of the importance of digital education, develop fairer algorithms, train teachers, provide appropriate educational tools for students with special needs, develop laws to regulate data collection and use, strengthen cybersecurity, and educate students and parents about the importance of intellectual property rights. The study also provides an analysis of the experiences of two leading universities in digital education (Harvard University and the University of Birmingham).
