About the Journal

The Journal of Environmental Studies is an international academic journal published by the Faculty of Law, Badji Mokhtar University – Annaba, Algeria. It focuses on research addressing environmental protection, sustainable development, and global challenges such as climate change, global warming, water conflicts, biological threats, urbanization, waste management, and the preservation of cultural heritage.

It is an open-access journal with no article processing charges.

Scope of the Journal

The Journal of Environmental Studies welcomes original research papers, review articles, and case studies related to environmental law, policy, and interdisciplinary studies on sustainable development.

Its scope covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

Environmental protection and governance
Sustainable development strategies and practices
Climate change and global warming
Water resources and transboundary water conflicts
Biological and chemical threats to the environment
Urbanization, waste, and pollution management
Renewable energy and ecological transition
Conservation of biodiversity and natural resources
Protection of tangible and intangible cultural heritage
Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in environmental monitoring, data analysis, and sustainability decision-making

The journal encourages contributions that explore the intersection between law, environment, technology, and sustainable development at national, regional, and international levels.

OFFICIAL LANGUAGE

The Journal accepts manuscripts written in English, Arabic, and French. However, the journal strongly encourages submissions in English to enhance international visibility and accessibility.

If the manuscript is written in Arabic or French, an English abstract must be provided.

Plagiarism

All articles submitted in accordance with the guidelines will be screened using the platform’s plagiarism detection system. Only those with a similarity rate of 20% or less will proceed to the peer review process.
