Driven by a desire for modernization and a break from traditional bureaucratic practices, the Algerian legislator has initiated a profound reform of public procurement, placing digitization at the heart of this transformation. The creation of the electronic public procurement platform is part of this new philosophy, aiming to establish greater transparency, equality, and efficiency in the awarding of contracts. This contribution aims to provide a critical assessment of this tool, highlighting significant progress made—particularly in terms of accessibility and traceability—while also identifying persistent obstacles that hinder its full potential, such as technical shortcomings, unequal access due to registration costs, and the lack of adequate legal and logistical frameworks.
