Algerian Patrimony In A Globalized World: The Essential Role Of Translation In Preserving Heritage And Narratives Through Cultural Exchange

Abstract

The safeguarding of Algerian cultural heritage and patrimony, particularly in the context of increased globalization and cultural homogenization, requires concerted efforts to ensure that various narratives and practices are accurately represented. One of the methods used in this effort is translation, an act that transcends mere linguistic conversion. Translation plays a vital role in preserving cultural narratives, as it allows the exchange of knowledge and ideas across linguistic barriers. This paper delves into the tight relationship between cultural heritage and translation in an increasingly globalized world, the inter-connectivity of cultures, and the rapid exchange of ideas and practices that require a robust dialogue among various linguistic communities. It also casts the role of translation in the protection of Algerian cultural heritage, which drew significant academic attention lately, as it serves as a crucial mechanism for preserving, transmitting, and revitalizing cultural literary narratives and practices. ملخص: في ظل تزايد تأثير العولمة والتجانس الثقافي فإن صون التراث الثقافي الجزائري يستدعي جهودا متضافرة لضمان تمثيل مختلف المعالم والتقاليد والأعراف وكذا الروايات والسرديات والممارسات الثقافية بدقة ومصداقية. ومن بين الوسائل المستخدمة في هذا المسعى نجد الترجمة والتي تتجاوز مجرد النقل اللغوي، فتؤدي دورا محوريا في الحفاظ على الموروث والروايات والسرديات الثقافية المتواترة عبر الأجيال، لأنها تتيح تبادل المعارف والأفكار ونقلها عبر الحواجز اللغوية، في حين أن لها دورا حيويا وحضاريا يتمثل في الحفاظ على الثقافة بكل ظواهرها ومظاهرها. ولذلك، ومن خلال منهج وصفي تحليلي، تتناول هذه الورقة البحثية العلاقة الوطيدة بين التراث الثقافي والترجمة في عالم يزداد عولمة، وتترابط فيه الثقافات وتتناقل الأفكار والعادات بسرعة، وهذا يتطلب حوارا مثمرا بين مختلف المجتمعات اللغوية. كما تسلط الضوء على دور الترجمة في حماية التراث الثقافي الجزائري والذي حظي باهتمام أكاديمي كبير مؤخرا، كونه آلية مهمة لحفظ الروايات الأدبية والممارسات الثقافية ونقلها وإحيائها. كلمات مفتاحية: الثراث الثقافي الجزائري، العولمة، دور الترجمة، الروايات الأدبية، التبادل الثقافي.
