Algeria one of the North African countries, whose women suffered immensely from obscurantism during colonisation, has favoured the policy of women’s empowerment since independence 1962. The rising number of females in higher positions is attributed to their desire to assert themselves in posts that were predominantly man’s. This communication sheds light on women-empowerment policy in our country that is reflected positively on both women and the whole Algerian community at the different levels; as opposite to their worsening status due to women’s domination policy during colonisation.
