Abstract
The announcement of the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Algerian Republic on September 19, 1958, is considered a landmark event that allowed the liberation revolution to move into a new phase to complete the establishment of state institutions and affirmed the people’s rallying around the revolution and its leaders. This research paper seeks to demonstrate that the declaration of the establishment of the Provisional Government carried with it multiple objectives, which allowed the Algerian revolution to move into a new phase by completing the establishment of the institutions of the fledgling Algerian state.
