This study examines the transformation of the Francophone Algerian author’s role within participatory digital culture. It argues that emerging technologies reshape the author-function and literary authority, shifting the writer from a sovereign, central figure to a dialogic presence co-constructed with interpretive communities. Drawing on the theories of Roland Barthes and Michel Foucault on authorial critique, as well as Hans Robert Jauss, Stanley Fish, and Pierre Bourdieu on reception and the literary field, the study contends that digital evolution does not eliminate the author but repositions them. Within the framework of participatory culture theorized by Henry Jenkins, the Francophone Algerian author emerges as a dialogic and communal actor. Ultimately, textual authority becomes increasingly mediated through digital interaction, circulation, and collaborative engagement with readership communities.
