Big Data's Impact In Telecoms: Djeezy Algeria Case Study

Abstract
Summary: Big Data has emerged as a rapidly growing phenomenon in today’s technological era. Technologies such as cloud computing, social media, and mobile communications, among others, are generating massive volumes of data. Big Data technologies aim to extract economic value from these vast datasets through high-speed acquisition and advanced analysis. This study aims to shed light on Big Data technology and explore its applications in the telecommunications sector, with a special focus on a case study of Djezzy, a leading mobile operator in Algeria. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach using the SWOT analysis framework. The findings reveal that Big Data has significantly contributed to enhancing decision-making processes, improving customer behavior analysis, streamlining internal operations, discovering new business opportunities, and fostering innovation within the company. The study also highlights notable challenges related to data privacy, security, and legal aspects. The study recommends continuous investment in Big Data infrastructure, employee training programs, the establishment of a robust data governance framework, and strict adherence to ethical and regulatory standards. ملخص: تعد البيانات الضخمة ظاهرة متسارعة النمو في عصرنا الحالي، حيث تساهم تقنيات مثل الحوسبة السحابية، وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، والاتصالات المتنقلة في توليد كميات هائلة من البيانات. تهدف تقنيات البيانات الضخمة إلى استخراج قيمة اقتصادية من هذه البيانات من خلال اكتسابها وتحليلها بسرعة عالية. هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على تقنية البيانات الضخمة واستكشاف تطبيقاتها في قطاع الاتصالات، مع التركيز على دراسة حالة شركة جازي في الجزائر. اعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي باستخدام أداة تحليل SWOT. أظهرت النتائج أن البيانات الضخمة ساهمت بشكل كبير في تعزيز عمليات اتخاذ القرار، وتحسين فهم سلوك العملاء، وتبسيط العمليات الداخلية، واكتشاف فرص أعمال جديدة، وتعزيز الابتكار في الشركة. كما أكدت الدراسة على وجود تحديات تتعلق بخصوصية البيانات والأمن والجوانب القانونية. وتوصي الدراسة بضرورة الاستثمار المستمر في البنية التحتية للبيانات، وتدريب الموظفين، وإنشاء إطار حوكمة بيانات قوي، مع الالتزام بالمعايير الأخلاقية والتنظيمية.
