Abstract

Abstract : This study analyses the pivotal role of urban governance as a strategic framework for integrating migrants into host cities, examining its effectiveness and the multifaceted challenges that impede its application, by mploying a conceptual analysis alongside a review of international case studies, where the research argues that urban governance, grounded in principles of participation and equity, provides an essential structure for managing demographic diversity by coordinating state and non-state actors. The findings conclude that successful integration necessitates a holistic, multi-dimensional approach—transcending basic service provision—to encompass housing, economic inclusion, education, and cultural adaptation, thereby transforming urban diversity into a sustainable asset for development.
