The study aimed to identify the risk factors that increase a child's vulnerability to autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It focused on genetic and hereditary factors, which are considered key contributors to the development of the disorder. Research has identified over a hundred defective genes that partially influence ASD. The study also explored psychological and family-related factors, noting that issues in relationships and emotional detachment from the mother can lead to a rigid dynamic between mother and child, which negatively impacts the child's emotional and psychological development. Additionally, factors during the prenatal stage, illnesses affecting both the mother and fetus, as well as birth conditions, were discussed. The study also emphasized the role of environmental changes and exposure to metal toxins, which can impair brain function and cause reversible changes in the child's gene expression. Furthermore, it highlighted the importance of using behavioral strategies to modify the child's behavior, with a focus on integrating the child into a comprehensive program that addresses psychological, health, and emotional needs. The study stressed the necessity of preventing other related disorders that could complicate the child’s psychological well-being and make it more difficult to manage.
