Digital Citizenship As A Mechanism To Counter Juvenile Digital Delinquency

Abstract
This article addresses the issue of juvenile delinquency in the digital space. It highlights how children's heavy use of technology exposes them to risks such as cyber bullying, inappropriate content and digital piracy. These risks pose increasing challenges to the legal and educational systems. Digital citizenship is presented as a key solution to this problem. It aims to raise awareness among minors and promote safe and responsible use of technology. In doing so, it helps to prevent behavioural problems related to the misuse of digital technology. Teaching digital citizenship allows young people to navigate the online world in an ethical way. Ultimately, it contributes to reducing delinquency among children and adolescents in digital environments.
