Abstract

The objective of this study is to reveal the relationship between family climate and academic superiority among secondary school pupils. Our study was based on a sample of 100 brilliant pupils (girls and boys) from high schools in the city of Bouira (Algeria). The family climate scale, composed of six dimensions, developed by (Mohamed Bayoumi Khalil), was used as a study tool, adapted to the Algerian context. The descriptive approach was favored. A positive and statistically significant correlation was observed between family climate and academic superiority among schooled adolescents. The results of the correlation according to the dimensions of the family climate scale were statistically significant, with the exception of the dimension of spiritual life.
