This article explores Pierre Michon’s work through the lens of an unresolved Oedipus complex and the absence of the father, showing how this deficit of real filiation structures his writing of intimacy. Combining psychoanalysis with literary analysis, the study highlights the centrality of the maternal figure, the persistence of guilt, and the quest for fathers of the pen as attempts to symbolically repair the paternal void. The article argues that Michon’s intimate writing unfolds through oblique narratives, fragments and scenes of punishment in which an unresolved Oedipal conflict is constantly replayed. Literary filiation thus appears as a strategy of self engendering: by inventing symbolic fathers within the canon of literature, Michon turns a biographical lack into a poetic principle and a source of formal invention
